Carrie entered the pet care industry when she was in high school, participating in a co-operative education program with a small local veterinarian clinic. From the co-operative program, Carrie was hired on a part time basis enabling her to expand her knowledge of pets. Her responsibilities included caring for hospitalized and boarding pets and assisting with emergencies when needed.

Carrie's experience with the veterinary clinic opened the window to pet care. She began her career in pet grooming with a well known facility as a pet-grooming assistant. After one year, Carrie was offered an opportunity to expand her knowledge, and in 2000 attended the Paragon School of Dog Grooming in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Carrie began working with SuperDog Central in 2005 as a pet stylist. Since than she has taken workshops with well known groomers such as Valerie Weston.

Carrie, won the People's Choice Award at 2006 Pooch-A-Palooza with Tango, Morgan's red miniature poodle. In 2007 Carrie again won the People's Choice award, but this time in the tag team event with her team mates from SuperDog Central--Ashley Gordon and Jayne Horton. What a team!!
