Liz Jones
Director of Boarding, Training and Daycare
Liz has worked with dogs for over 15 years. An avid dog sledder, Liz has studied under renowned dog trainer/behaviour therapist Norma Jean Laurette.
Before coming to SuperDog Central, Liz spent the last five winters in South River, Ontario, as a dog sled guide with Chocpaw Expeditions. Liz lead overnight dogsled expeditions into the interior of Algonquin Park and was accountable for the safety, and well being of both clients and dogs in a wilderness setting. This meant maintaining the sleds and equipment, setting up and taking down camps, and feeding, watering and caring for 320 dogs. Liz maintains that she met the challenge of remembering the names of all those dogs without any difficulty.
Working with Superdog Central is a perfect fit for Liz. Liz and her yellow labrador cross, Taiga, and her Australian kelpie cross, Shiane, travel to work together each day spending quality time together while Liz manages the doggy day care and training programs.
Liz has always loved animals. Her childhood was spent with dogs and cats around the house and every summer she spent at Hoskin Stables grooming and riding horses. Liz is currently training both Taiga and Shiane in agility, disc, flyball and Rally-O.
