  • The Bowmanville Fabulous Fifties Festival was...well...FABULOUS!

When your home town turns 150 years old, you have to get out and celebrate. And SuperDog Central did just that, wowing the crowd with speed and agility. Well the first set was a bit shaky, what with the puppies being more interested in the hot dog stand but they pulled it together for the second and third show. Coda, our five year old Great Dane was jumping five bars -- an immense feat for a big dog.

A big thank you goes out to all our friends and colleagues that helped out with this event. A special mention goes to Amy White, Morgan's team mate with the SuperDogs. Amy brought her high-jumping Ibithan Hound, Leap, her very special Mexican Hairless, Chili Bean, and Groove, Amy's very fast Viszla. Look for Amy at the next SuperDog show at the CNE. Photo Gallery.

  • Congratulations goes out to Anne Whan with her Golden Retreiver Patti and Kelly Wood with her Keeshond Abby.

Both dog and handler teams were sucessful in passing their three legs in the CKC rally novice and both have their CKC Novice Rally Title now!

  • SuperDog Central's 'On The Fly' flyball team entered their first NAFA flyball tournament and WON!

The tournament was held at the 'All About Pets' show at the International Centre March 22 and 23, 2008. The team ran their best time of 17.63 seconds with HUGE exchanges as they had two green dogs running. Special mention goes to Amy White's little Groove who proved to be a HUGE star!

Morgan and Blitz also gave a disc demonstration in the half time and while the video quality is not great, we've decided to post it because Blitz was so phenomenal! See Morgan and Blitz on YouTube.

  • Dante Camacho, Brazilian Agility Champion and member of the world famous SuperDogs team, held a series of freestyle workshops and agility seminars at SuperDog Central in January, 2008.

These seminars gave starter and master level students first hand knowledge of Dante's unique European handling style and worked on tightening turns, finding the best path for the dog, and improving course times.

Dante is considered one of the finest freestyle performers in the world. Check out Dante's freestyle routine at a recent SuperDogs show as posted on YouTube. Here is another impressive video showing Dante at an agility trial in Brazil.

  • Calling all SuperDogs!

Auditions for a cameo appearance in the SuperDogs show in Oshawa were held at SuperDog Central on Saturday, December 22. Herb Williams himself was on site looking for the next big Super Stars.

Over 25 dog and handler teams turned out for the auditions. Herb was extremely impressed with the quality of dogs and handlers. So much so, that in a surprise decision, and instead of choosing the top six teams, Herb invited all of the contestants to take part in the show! Photo Gallery.

  • Congratulations to Judy Rolff and her SuperDog Willow

It was an exciting weekend for Judy and her Australian Sheperd, Willow. Judy has been training at SuperDog Central for a little over two years. Judy and Willow's passion is Flyball, and it showed at a Spirit Catchers' NAFA Flyball tournament in Brampton ON.

Filling in at the last minute for the Time Bandits Flyball team, this was Willow's first tournament. Not only did Willow help Time Bandits win 3rd place in Division One, she was picked by the tournament organizer for a Dream Team Award for up-and-coming Flyball dog. Willow also received her FDX title.

Now on a winning streak, Willow ran 4.290 second run in singles U-Fli held on Dec. 2, which ranks her as the third fastest Aussie in U-Fli!!!

  • SDC Open House

The Grand Opening celebration at SuperDog Central was a great, great time. Approximately 250 people sipped wine and nibbled cheese while their superdogs were treated to an array of biscuits. Herb Williams and Chase from the SuperDogs were on hand to congratulate Morgan and Brian for their vision and commitment. Stay tuned for this event's photos.
