    Introduction to Agility
    Agility is a great way to build your dog's self confidence. Through positive motivation and teamwork, you and your SuperDog will learn to work together and develop your relationship by 'shaping' basic agility skills. As an introduction to agility, but also for the experienced dog handler team; emphasis will be on motivating your dog, use of rewards, recalls, running and sending, control and release of behaviors, handling, targeting. Introduction to chute weaves, jumps, target boards and tunnels.
    Dogs must be 6 months or older and have completed a basic obedience course. Keeping the young dogs in mind, all equipment will be kept at a low height.

  • Agility Level 1
    Build speed, accuracy and distance with your skills from Intro Agility, handling and jump work (grids, 180's, pinwheels, 270's, serpentines and pull throughs). Continuing on building solid contacts and weave work.

    Agility Level 2
    Level 2 will focus on building your handling skills through short sequences, introducing all contact equipment. Handlers must have control of the dog to move on from this level.

    Agility Level 3
    Sequences will continue to build, focus on body language and communication on course. Work on obsticle descrimination. More distance and accuracy.

  • AAC Agility Games
    Work on distance, sequencing and planning your run. Run your SuperDog through actual mini Gamblers, Snooker and Jumpers courses. At the end of this class you will be comfortable with the rules for the Agility Association of Canada(AAC)games and the various courses. Class size is limited. Prerequisite for registration is Agility Level 3 as dogs must be comfortable on all equipment.

  • Agility Course Analysis and Handling
    This class is designed for handlers currently competing in agility. Each evening a new, challenging agility course will be set up and divided into a series of short sequences. As you work each sequence, Tricia will analyze your performance and suggest various handling options that will help you improve efficiency and/or accuracy. At the end of the class, each dog/handler team will run the complete course.

    Class size is strictly limited to six teams.

    Please bring a crate and water for your dog. This class will be taught outside, so please dress accordingly.

  • Agility Handling Basics
    When, why and how to use the various agility handling options is sometimes confusing to the novice competitor. Skills such as the front cross, rear cross, lead out pivot, directional cues, lateral handling and more will be practiced using short jump sequences. Additionally, each week Tricia will focus on the best handling options for a specific piece of equipment.

    Class size is limited to 6 dog/handler teams.

  • Disc Dog
    Intro to Disc dog
    Even if your dog has never played with a disc before, Morgan Jarvis will lead you through the motivational games and shaping exercises that will get your dog learning to catch the flying disc. This workshop will teach fetch and retrieve and basic disc throwing skills.

  • Disc dog - Flying High
    If your dog is already catching a flying disc, then this workshop is for you! We will focus on different throwing techniques for distance and accuracy.

  • Intro to Disc Tricks
    Flying disc tricks and flying dog tricks will be taught by SuperDog Central's own Morgan Jarvis. In 2006, Morgan and her SuperDog Blitz qualified for the Skyhoundz Worlds Disc Dog Championship competition in Atlanta, ranking 4th in Canada and placing in the top 25 teams in the world.

    Right and left flips, weave walking, scooting backwards, vaulting, back stops and more will be taught in this short, 4-week course.

  • Flyball
    The fastest growing dog sport in North America filled with speed and excitement! We offer two levels of flyball and continued coaching.

    Dogs will learn jump, box work and motivational games in level I and continue to build on the skills in level II as well as learn to pass and increase drive!

    Taught by Morgan Jarvis an experienced flyball competitor with over 17 years of experience in competitive racing. Morgan currently races on one of Ontario's top ranked Regular and Multi Breed teams.

  • Scootering
    If your dog loves to run, if you can?t walk him enough, if he pulls your arm off while simply walking down the sidewalk, try the new dog sport ? scootering. Slip your dog into a sled-dog harness, rope him to a scooter, hop on the scooter and let him run.

    The complete scootering course is separated into two distinct two-hour workshops. Sign up for both and you?ll be having fun racing down a country road.

    Intro to Scootering

    You will learn the different commands; ready, let's go, gee, haw, line out, ahead and on by and your dog will be desensitized to the harness and scooter. Most importantly your dog will learn the important skill of pulling!!

    Rolling On

    This workshop will build on the skills started in the introductory course. Your dog will learn to pull different weights and sizes and will become desensitized to the unusual sounds coming from behind them. By the end of the workshop, it's scooter time!!

    This class prepares you to try out for the SuperDogs team. Plus, our graduates are often asked to perform with the SuperDog Central Performance Team at local shows and events. Join us. Have some fun with your own SuperDog!

    Prerequisite: Basic Obedience

    Fast paced and mentally stimulating for both the dog and handler. Learn the newest dog sport from an official CARO & CKC Rally-Obedience judge Joan Reid!.

    Over forty movements are taught with sits, turns, jumps, tunnels and more. This class is taught under the CARO rules.
